Video Work

As the years go on, more and more companies are using moving image. With the rise of vlogging and longer content on YouTube and the ease of watching and creating high quality footage on mobile phones, everyone has access to video.

As a result, video content is in high demand, and having the ability to add moving image to your skillset, as a designer, has never been more important.

YouTube Channel

The main reason for creating my YouTube channel was to give me a reason to improve, getting use to grabbing a camera at the right moment and more importantly, bettering my editing skills. I've always been quite confident in front of a camera or audience, ever since I stood up in a school play at age 6, right the way through to standing in front of a room of 2500 with just a couple of USB sticks, a few thousand songs and a microphone. However, nothing really prepares you for vlogging, consciously talking to yourself in a crowded area with your arm stretched out will never feel like a natural thing to do.

Working with the brand marketing team, a video was commissioned to promote the Comedy Improvisation Short Course at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Shot and edited by myself, I felt that adding large branded typography in the physical space created a much more engaging introduction to each of the interviews and kept the pace feeling fresh and exciting.

A short promotional film written and directed by myself and shot by the Video Team at Goldsmiths, University of London. The idea was to show various different subject areas, from music and media studies, to virtual reality and computing.

Using green screen we created a infinity zoom transitioning from student to student, each learning or interacting with the subject area.
